Bio
Emma E. Gillespie is a visual artist who specializes in photography and collage. Her work was exhibited in the Madison United Methodist Church’s Annual Eco-Art Show in 2016 and 2017, and in the Korn Gallery Student Exhibition in 2016.
Emma served as a Public Education Intern and a Curatorial Intern at the National Museum of American History in Washington D.C. during the summers of 2017 and 2018, respectively. During her internships, she photographed works in the museum collections, and those photographs have been used in digital communications and educational outreach by the museum. Emma is currently a Photography Intern for the Drew University Communications Department, where she photographs university events and gallery exhibitions. She is also a Digital Lab Monitor for the Drew Art Department, and has served as a photography tutor in the Drew University Center for Academic Excellence in Madison, NJ. She assists students in digital and film photography techniques, including scanning, editing and printing.
Emma is a senior at Drew University in Madison, NJ, and she will be graduating in May with a degree in history with photography and public health minors. She is an inducted member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Alpha Theta, and she is interested in a career in museum education.gr
